4th September, 2013 Hurry, Worry or Emergency?

A lovely loading session this afternoon with an Appaloosa cross called Dallas. On Monday she was due to travel to another yard on loan with a view to buy. Unfortunately she hadn't had any practise at loading and just wouldn't load. Sensibly her current owner decided that she should have some training before any further attempt was made to travel her. Although she was wary at first, bit by bit she began to load -first the front feet and then the backs and then all the way in - and by the end of the session she was calm and confident. Hopefully we will be able to introduce the partitions at the next session on Friday.
