A complete day off from horses yesterday so another opportunity to go to the New forest Wildlife Park. Dotty the fallow deer, one of several that have free rein in the park, is rather partial to shoe laces and happily molested Barbara.
The Giant River Otters were on good form, just one mass of muscles. Great to see them in the wild on BBC2's Brazil programme (9 p.m. Tuesdays).
The wallabies were sunbathing and for the first time I saw the elusive lynx who sat preening herself after her lunch.
The Canadian Otters were rather disappointed that we had no fish but the Asian Short Clawed Otters were happy to play with a stick. Still, I think we would have been more popular had we worn a green fleece and carried a large bucket of trout.
