Moses' last working day at the office and his long reining is coming along really well. His steering has improved and his into-pressure response is lessening. We did lots of crossing over our own tracks today and turning away from home and apart from the odd lean and an ear indication in that direction, he went on without a murmur. With young horses it is all about answering their question, "Shouldn't we be going that way?" before they make a decision, "I'm GOING that way!".
Today we also had our first Horses' Ear course of the year and the staff, volunteers, and participants from The Society of St. James and The Waterfall Trust, were accompanied by a mini-film crew from the University of Southampton. Needless to say, Nettles thought it was all for him and looked as if he was doing his election broadcast.
Michelle has never been to us before so we started at the very beginning. However she had been around horses in her early childhood and still had a real affinity with them. Nettles almost went home with her...
Later we went out on the Forest with Jack loose. Michelle said she had felt nervous about coming but none of that came through at all. Here the three of us are talking about the big turning points in life.
Alice is still Jack's number one fan.
