3rd May, 2015 Teabag with one sugar

A couple of BBC repeats today. First of all training with Emily's sister, Felicity, to put a headcollar on Tilly. Everything happened a lot more quickly today, testament to the learning power of horses especially when things are made easy for them. There's no doubting that she likes people!

Felicity's nickname for Tilly is Teabag!

Moses went home in the middle of the day and I hope to be seeing him at Pip's where we will be consolidating the work we have done while he was in.

Later we went over to Wickham to work with Scooby and his feet again. My apprentice for the day was David who was on Fake Farriering duties again. Scooby has been extremely nervous of the farrier and so it was impressive that he allowed David not only to pick up each of his feet, but to mock rasp them too. Next stop is the real farrier.

He's a beautiful horse.

Email 6.5.15: "Just a quick note to say I'm still practising every day and Scooby is standing still not tied up in box and has not moved whilst I'm touching legs or scratching heels. He's allowing me to pick up all four feet with very occasional slight resistance, and I've held his backs up properly. Yesterday and today I've picked out all four feet which is fantastic." MJ
