16th November, 2013 Larking Around
Lark continues to make progress every day and yesterday was much happier facing me and accepting some food. She is not impressed with hard feed and spits out barley rings or pony nuts as adeptly as a cat being fed pet pills. Luckily she likes the haylage.
Given the mild weather today we worked in the big half round pen which was put up for the pig-phobic pony earlier in the week. Despite having even more space, Lark chose to stay and engage with me. She absolutely loves having her tummy rubbed and is accepting touch almost everywhere on her body now. She is just apprehensive about touch on both sides of her head at once, a product I think of having a collar forced over her ears at the drift - necessary but not without its side-effects.
