18th August, 2014 A Nice Date

First appointment this week was with two enthusiastic and bright young women who simply want the best for the horses in their care Accordingly they just want horses that walk when they walk, stop when they stop and move as directed. This was all fairly straightforward to put in place.

Irish Sports Horse, Secrets, and ex-racehorse, Red Spell, were calm and happy throughout the session especially when we had transformed their rewards from light or tickly touch to deep, flat, slow touch which they both thought was marvellous. As we left the school, Holly commented that Red might think he'd just been on a nice date. What a great way to think about it. 

"Thank you so much for today we both loved it, as did the horses ! We would love to have you come back to us and try some more stuff in a couple of weeks once we've mastered what you've given us." EOC
