8th August, 2014 Slow Down for the LIVE Ones

This little filly was hit at Fritham today. She suffered a broken leg (which I have photoshopped to avoid the worst of the gore) and had to be shot by the Agister. If she had lived she was likely to have spent the whole of her life at liberty on the Forest. What is really sad is that as we watched, car after car slowed down to take stock of what they were seeing whereas people just don't slow down for the live ones that are right next to the road. Thirty animals have been killed or injured on the Forest this year so far.
