Four year old Kestrel is a son of top quality New Forest stallion, Longcopse Elton. I have been asked to help to bring him back in to work following a break. I started off by assessing him. He has a lovely temperament and beautiful manners. This wasn't the case just a few months ago when his behaviour suddenly changed. His owner believed that he had gastric ulcers and had to be fairly determined with her vet who was reluctant to accept that this was the case especially as there were none of the normal indicators. An endoscopy showed that he had Grade 4 ulcers. Following treatment he has now recovered completely and is in fantastic condition. All credit to his owner for trusting her instinct.
