13th March, 2015 Friday the Thirteenth

...and all is well. All of the young horses were perfect this morning. Tilly had her first trot under saddle, Nettles went out with Petra, and Bella went out with Theoden again.

Then a bit of a long reining-fest at Lorraine's with Zack first and then Evie. We needed to check that Zack was fine about the long reins before setting off. So I used the preparation exercises to assess how he felt.

He was fine and so off we set...

and then we set off again with Evie.

"Thanks for today. It was really useful and hopefully sorted out my little hiccups with both ponies! I feel more confident at long reining Zack now, and hopefully I can get Evie a bit better with her transitions." LD
To finish the day I worked with Connemara, Rebel, who has struggled with a loss of confidence recently. His owner is working through all the physical checks that are available to make sure that there are no pain issues, and today we went back to basic groundwork in the school first...

...and then out on the Forest.
