Always an anti-climax when the extremely nice clients that you have been working with on an intensive course wend their way home. It's back to our routine work with the three starters and we've another really busy week ahead so onwards and upwards.
Each of our three starters has made steady but signifincant progress again today. We move things on organically and things sometimes happen just by osmosis. Tilly was feeling pretty fresh after just one day off. She went on her first hack in the Forest and was only momentarily upset by a dog walker. After that she settled nicely.
Nettles went beetling about on another hack and proved to be very responsive and fearless. He did lots of walk to trot and back transitions.
Meanwhile, Tracey, Tasha and I got Bella and Theoden ready...day off for Petra P.
Tracey had a little sit on her horse and is looking forward to taking over from Jodie reasonably soon.
Then Bella went out with Theoden again, showing some real independence from him off the lead rein.
Asking for a trot, Bella wasn't at all bothered when he went off ahead and thought she'd prefer to walk, thank you very much. It'll come.
Bella is back to being ridden in the Dually at the moment as she seems pretty responsive to it and she has a lot of changes going on in her mouth with her outer incisors all wobbly and ready to fall out.
Walking the last section home. We don't want all of the releases to come the instant we get home.
