The insects appear to have come early to the reserve at Hook, perhaps because of the warming air and laying water. It will be interesting to see if they are affected by the departure of the cattle which always bring a lot of flies.
The Lookers and Agent M have been busy keeping an eye on the this week and I am visiting soon.
There are tiny green shoots coming through, and grass growing at the bottom of the puddles.
