12th May, 2010 More school days

Another 10 hour day comes to a close. I started off at 10 a.m. with Lorraine and Ludo. Ludo is due to come in for starting next week so it was good to work with him after a six month gap and to find that he remembers everything that he has learnt so far. At 11 a.m. it was off to work with Oliver and to continue with his loading training - today he has made significant progress and accepted both back bar and front bar; Tamie was delighted by how calm he was. Then the Western Saddle Fitter, Maria Owens arrived to do a comprehensive check on the saddle and pads for Chancer and Theoden. This included two sets of twenty minute rides with the Port Lewis Pad on board to make sure that we had the best fit. Next we backed Flicka and she took her first few steps with Jenny on bareback for now. Then pack everything up and off home. I had three horse reports to write and e-mails to answer and a few appointments to make.
