With just a few weeks to go before we are off to Kenya, David and I thought we would spend our day off taking photos of the wildlife on the New Forest. Armed with the long lens camera we thought we would see if we could catch a glimpse of the stallion, Sway Mister Blue Sky at his current area at Shirley Holms. We intended to keep our distance but he had other ideas and soon headed over to us to see what we were up to. It's taken David more than forty years to achieve the same blend of grey hair as this pony.
As well as his regular band of mares, there is a crèche next door where the foals are all his offspring from last year.
The Highland cattle were unmoved by the sight of all these babies.
Lunch in Lymington and a walk around the marina...
Before heading home through Beaulieu. This foal had the traffic slowing down to look.
